Secker Welding was established by Lin Secker and wife Doreen in 1977 following many years in the welding, fabrication and welding tuition field, during which time he aquired an insatiable appetite for welding science, technology and practise. Lin has aquired a large library of welding and related topic books numbering in excess of 300.

As they left school his three sons Richard, Stephen and Linden joined the firm and learned the trade. To this day the family work together, all dedicated to providing service to the best of their ability. While all are accomplished welders, Richard specialises in aluminium and cast iron repair, Stephen specialises in MMA and MIG welding repair and fabrication and Linden specialises in control system design and manufacture including fully automated, and in factory heating and general troubleshooting. Doreen runs the office and keeps herfamily in order.

Many businesses and individuals have benefited from the training and recommendations 'Secker Welding' has been able to give and enthused about the 'hands on' ability of Lin to coach them in welding practise and the benefit his in depth knowlege has bestowed on them.

In addition to welding fabrication, repair and training 'Secker Welding' also repair welding machines and calibrate/validate same where required for quality control satisfaction criteria.

Secker Welding also manufacture machinery for the flower bulb industry, in particular HotWater Treatment (HWT) systems for sterilising daffodil bulbs, of which they are the leading UK manufacturer and which are currently used by the large majority of UK Growers. The precise nature of the temperature control required for this operation has become a speciality of the firm and calibration/validation of existing and new instruments for temperature control together with in situ process monitoring followed by report are offered for HWT and a variety of other products in treatment or in store. Secker Welding flower bulb HWT expertise is sought from as far afield as Australia.
